COMFORT
+ UNINHIBITED + CREATIVITY The Sand formula for success. Tony's mission is to capture
the art of man in a truly uninhibited format. Successful
projects involve three core elements which create success:
COMFORT
First and foremost, the model must be comfortable with himself
and his surrounding. The model must be comfortable with his body in
order to be free to have fun with the poses involved with a
shoot. Trust in the setting (venue) and in the photographer are
also vital. Trust is a key not only because the model is
nude but also because this work is completed in a intimate &
private setting. When a model is not comfortable, the
camera cannot help but notice and the work suffers. When
the model is comfortable, the relationship becomes fertile.
UNINHIBITED When a model brings inhibitions into a shoot, it limits the
scope of the work. Inhibitions often include fears
involving faces or genitals being included in a shot. Often the
work does not include these elements; however, many times it
does. While these inhibitions can sometimes be dealt with, this
results in a restricted relationship between the artists (model
& photographer). In this form of artwork, with a mission of
capturing men in a truly "uninhibited" format, restrictions are
often destructive. In some forms of artwork, boundaries
produce great results. However, boundaries do
create limited results. In most cases (with some
exceptions), if inhibitions are present, the decision to move
forward will be uncertain. Many politicians, celebrities
and professionals have been photographed nude. In most
cases, if these photos are discovered, it has been a boost in PR
for the individual. (e.g. Arnold Swarzeneggar, the Carlson
Twins, Paris Hilton & even Brad Pitt) When it comes to PR, May West said it best when she said "I don't care if
they say something good or bad about me as long as they say
something about me!"
CREATIVITY
It is always a delight when someone tactfully & freely offers
feedback, ideas and suggestions. This simple interaction
develops rich concepts and rewarding artwork. The results
from two creative minds, rather than just one, increase the
quality of the results by two-fold. This artwork becomes an
incredible collaboration when both artists (photographer &
model) work together and build on eachother's ideas using the
simple snowball effect.
